There's a thing on Blue Peter about Narnia. I'm getting rather excited now.
I took missus to work earlier and couldn't be bothered to go the same way home that I always do, so I just started to drive out into the country not quite knowing where I was going. The sun was at a really nice height and it looked very beautiful. I've never been around that area before. It'd be a nice place to live, halfway between town and Chatsworth, kind of. Eventually I ended up on the road to Chatsworth so I thought I may as well carry on driving and go that way home. I stopped when I got to the top of the hill and decided to go pick some more heather, only with roots this time so I may be able to grow it. We'll see what happens.
It'd been raining really hard all morning so when I got onto the moors there were
dozens more streams than there were in the summer. I ran to the top of the hill on the right side of the valley and looked across to the woods on the other side. There was mist rising from the centre of the trees and it looked other-worldy. I tried to take a picture with my phone but it's crap so it's not that good and you can barely see the mist. Here it is anyway;

I walked back around the side to the entrance of the woods and went in to look for some heather but then I decided to go and look at the waterfall and stream we found last time we went. (There's a picture of me on the broken stone bridge going over the waterfall on my myspace if you wanna see that.)
It was a lot more powerful and there were a couple more streams in there. I followed the stream as far into the woods as I could. This is a picture from the path level with the tree-line, again of the mist.

On the way down my mind started to wander. I've had this idea for a story in my head for
ages but I just couldn't get it out. I could never get something interesting to form in my mind. But, as I went deeper into the wood, my mind wandered and the story started to write its self. I actually liked how it was forming in my mind, but then I always do, it's when I put it down on paper I can't translate what's in my head adequately. I'm not going to do anything with it just yet, probably out of fear of screwing it up, but it's there in some form.
After getting as far as I could into the wood I turned around and came out to look for the heather. It took me a while to pick some. I wanted to get some from a place where there was a lot to make sure I wasn't ruining the leftover plant's chance of growing. Plus, I didn't want to get one from near the animal's paths (as opposed to the human paths) 'cause they mark plants sort of like mile-stones. Eventually I found some that were suitable and easily pulled them out because the ground was so soft. Glad I didn't have to dig them out.
I got home and gingerly walked around the house soaked and covered in mud and then put the roots and a small plant into the Chatsworth D&B bottle we got ages ago to see if they grow. The rest of the shoots I stuck in the small jar outside that has our original heather in. We picked it months ago yet it's still alive, not growing unfortunately, but alive. These should grow. I'm sure. *nod*
Ok, going. That's enough boring information for you. I'm sure if you've just stumbled upon this you're riveted to your seat.
*eye roll*
bbye.
