Missus did her hair with rollers and it looks all 40s and AMAZING. I can't believe I'm actually with someone this beautiful. Poor bruised missus arms.

Here is what Jet just came home wearing. How? Why? Who knows. He doesn't even like beans! I personally think he saw me with my buff on yesterday and he wanted to look like me. Then again, maybe he's just a bin diving weirdo.

Just quickly (missus is cooking me lunch! ^_^) Here we are last night. Lindsay in her costume. There was actually a dress to go with it but she didn't bother with all of that last night. Just the cape and horns. Missus in her Lydia costume/Betty's witch hat. She appropriated it for the duration of the trick or treating. Then there's me in my "costume" which consists of my normal clothes plus a wand.
I love my wand.
Hallowe'en

Ok, so nearly every blog in the world is going to have pictures of their pumpkins from last night, but I don't care if mine's the same because I like my pumpkin. So there.
Above is my Harry Potter one. I really wanted to do Hobbes, but I couldn't draw it on there. Ah well, next year, perhaps.
This is the three of them together. Shannon designed the one on the left and missus did the one in the middle... but wait, she's even more talented than that!
She also did this on the back of the Jack pumpkin. Such a talented missus.
We spent most of yesterday looking for pumpkins, which I almost came to think was a hopeless cause, but we found them. It also gave us an excuse to go to Chatsworth, which is always magical. Oh yes, we bought a pumpkin decoration there too. I almost forgot about him 'cause he got put into our rose and didn't get to join the festivities last night. I'm going to call him... Rupert. Just because I can.
After our jaunt around the country in search of gourds we... slept. People started arriving and missus went upstairs to put her Lydia make up on. I couldn't think of a costume so I ate curry. Savannah and Shannon arrived in their costumes although after the initial, "how cute am I?" from Savannah the costume was gone and it wasn't going back on. Definitely not.
Lindsay, Naomi and I took the two kids trick or treating around the block. The first time any of us "adults" had been. I put my jacket on and then decided that I'd put my HP scarf on and grab my wand and bee Harry Potter. It wasn't that obvious who I was when people looked at me. Julie from across the road just thought I'd fallen out of the house without trying. But I got an excuse to play with my wand which I admit was more fun than I could possibly be allowed to have with a toy at my age. Still, it's Hallowe'en and all that. Just as we got to the top of the road a firework went off and Savannah stretched out her arms and ran towards Naomi who then had to carry her for the rest of the evening. After the first house when she had a lolly she was a lot better. She whimpered every-time one went off after that but by the end she was jabbering away to Shannon about how great they were. At least, I think so. She's not mastered many words yet.
So when we got in I got Shannon to start drawing her pumkin design and then cut off the top and then broke the news to her that she had to pull the inside out. I think she enjoyed it in that gross way kids do. Lindsay started cutting Shannon's pumpkin out and I did my design and cut it out etc. as missus was doing her deadly nightshade design. When we'd finished everyone slowly started leaving and we got down to the trashy horror film section of the night.
We saw the end of Friday the 13th. Which was enough. Then we watched Poltergeist which didn't scare missus. Then again, why would it? O_o
Then came The Hunger. Which. Well. I dunno. Boobies and David Bowie. I fell asleep at that point.
In all it was a perfect day. The best Hallowe'en yet. And the most complete. Pumpkin. Party. Trick or treating. Scary Movies. All bases covered. Plus Chatsworth prettiness and pumpkin adventures on top of it all.
Perfect.
